Meet Our Intern Ashley Martinez!

Hello Everyone! My name is Ashley Martinez and I am an undergraduate student at California State University of Northridge. I am currently in the process of receiving my bachelor degrees in Psychology and Chicanx Studies in May and I'm very excited! I work on campus at the LRC as a proctor for the computer-based UDWPE exams. My plans after CSUN are to go into law and study Immigration Law . What lead me to choose this career path into immigration law was the fact that the Latinx community has many undocumented immigrants who are not aware of their rights and there aren't enough lawyers so I would like to help the community by creating that safe space through the legal system.

In my spare time I like listening to music, dancing, and going to the beach. You'll most likely find me hiking the Point Dume cliffs, I love watching the sunsets there on the weekends! I also love going to new beaches, the picture above was taken at Pfeiffer Beach State Park in Big Sur, California. I also have my own store on Depop called SkinnHoney where I sell rustic jewelry, clothes, shoes, and water bottles so go check it out! Lastly, I am a proud mother to my baby guinea pig Lilu.
